Episode 26 – Ryan Walton
Today’s conversation is with Ryan Walton
Ryan is the founder of Daring to Dad – a movement dedicated to a conversation about fatherhood, masculinity and faith.
We all have ideas about fatherhood, but I think it was Mike Tyson that once said “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
If you’re a dad, I bet you know what I’m talking about. This is a blog about the daring adventure of fatherhood and navigating the waters of an experience that is unique to each of us, yet connects us to one another in profound ways.
It’s not about answers or the right or wrong ways to be a dad. In fact you don’t even need to be a dad to find a connection here. It’s about building a community through shared stories, and a common desire to see our families (and ourselves) thrive.
In this episode we talk about:
Ryan’s experience in the Evangelical movement
Parenting and Faith
Being an emotionally available father
Understanding how your emotions affect your children
Being Present
How to ask for help
